We have received a number of enquiries from clients who have recently received a letter from a company called Latitude Financial regarding a personal data security breach, where people’s information may have been leaked to a third party.
Intech Wealth Management has nothing to do with Latitude Financial, and we have never dealt with them.
Latitude Financial is a finance company specializing in “buy now, pay later” loans. They acquired AGC, AVCO, GE Finance, Nissan Finance, and Hallmark Insurance amongst other corporations in this industry.
If you have ever bought anything on a “buy now, pay later” basis from a business such as Harvey Norman, Radio Rentals, The Good Guys etc, then the financing you received may be traced back to what is now Latitude Financial.
This may also apply to lay-by style payments and travel credit cards.
This could have been any time over the last 20 years.
